Shows the Ice Works at Causeway Bay and (probably) a large white cold storage building.

Reclamation for Victoria Park started already, note the line with the limits of the canal that was left non-reclaimed.

This is the contants of James McDougalls pass for Kai Tak whilst emplyed as an inspector with Star ferries early 1950's. James had served with the Royal Scots since 1940 in HK. After surviving the Lisbon Maru and Osaka 2b he returned to married life in Hong Kong with wife Mimi

I have added three views of some of the local shipping. The first is of the Star Ferry, two arriving and leaving. The second appears to show what I would call roll on roll off ferries and the third appears to be of a landing craft?. Has anybody any thoughts on any of the photographs. All are from an old cinefilm

Although the slide says Japan, the photo was probably taken in Hong Kong judging from the vehicle registration plate.
