My Grandfather John Ambrose Jupp was a director of John D Humphreys and Sons, the firm that acquired A.S. Watson & Co in 1871 and built it up as a major supplier of medicines and aerated waters in the region by 1900. Can anyone tell me exactly where the aerated water factory illustrated was located at that time?

Eternal1966e carries a photo of a "watering cart" dated 1915. It looks very similar to the one in Moddseys 1919 photo and similar to the one in the earlier pic from David/HK History Museum, except the 1915 and 1919 carts have two sets of wheels and are pulled by animals rather than humans. The strong similarities between the three carts suggest they are earlier and later versions of the same thing, i.e. watering carts.

Swimming canal

This photo I believe was taken close to the others I've posted showing the smimming canal, tennis, etc. The ages and dress of the family is very close as are the thatched huts which leads me to think the pictures were taken close together. My family lived in Kowloon, at Humphreys Road and my grandfather was said to have owned some farm type property where events may have been held. While he did have interests in Malaya, I still think that this group of photos was from somewhere close to where they lived.

Another photo that is from a group taken while my family lived in Hong Kong. I am trying to pin-point the exact location. Any help is appreciated.

Farm property near Hong Kong

Date picture taken (to nearest decade for older photos):
1917

To the best of my knowlege, this photo was taken at the farm property of my grandfather, Tobias Hunter, somewhere near Hong Kong. I recall being told that the property had a small lake, possibly man-made, and that he often held parties or outings for orphaned children. The exact location is unknown but I think it may be quite near to Hong Kong or Kowloon. The photo was taken about 1917.
