Western temporary vehicle ferry berth

Additional Ferry Berths

Originally in 1933, the pier was designed to serve one vehicular ferry at a time. Due to the increasing demand for vehicle transport, a second berth was built east of the old one (early 1950s).

The Annual Report for 1963 refers:

West of the present vehicle ferry pier, a temporary vehicle ferry berth was constructed, so that there are now three berths in action in the vicinity. <Read more ...>

CONDER'S Bar ,Kowloon - Former Location as seen from Argyle St.

The site of the former CONDER'S Bar located on Luen Wan St. near the corner of Argyle Street, Mon Kok. The open site was owned by the KCR Corporation who granted a lease to John Cecil Conder ("Jack” ) .The main entrance to the bar (in the side of the building) was just behind the large tree seen in this photo. <Read more ...>

The site of the former CONDER'S Bar located on Luen Wan St. near the corner of Argyle Street, Mon Kok. The open site was owned by the KCR Corporation who granted a lease to John Cecil Conder ("Jack” ) . On the opposite side of Luen Wan Street was a row of terraced cottages provided for KCR workers .
