Published 1894, so possibly one or two years old.

Looks as if the map in the book was not unfolded, therefore a part of central is on the left, and on the right is Causeway Bay with Wanchai missing. Was on the opposite side (in the book) to Cheung Wan Map ca. 1892

Shows Peddar Wharf (post-1886) at the "correct location", and not the pre-1886 one shown on the 1889 map.

Wide span of time given, guessed to be 1890s, possibly during the 1894 outbreak.

Update: Looking up Graham Street, the men are standing at the junction with Wellington Street.

Waterfront in Central District in 1890s. The reclamation scheme at the waterfront has just been commenced. Markers indicate the proposed shoreline (Connaught Road Central to-date).
