The Old Wong Nai Chung Gap police station no longer stands today, it was demolished post WW2 to make way for a private residence, which is now one of Stanley Ho's houses.
This Police Station was a pivotal structure that controlled Wong Nai Chung gap, and thus Hong Kong Island. It was situated on the 4-way crossroads that led to all 4 quarters of the Island. DoB from John Black's list, which gives Mr Dormer's occupation in 1941 as "Audit Department HKG".
The list of Civil Establishments for 1938 shows him as "Class II Clerk, (S.C. & A.S.)" in the Audit Department, and gives the date of his first appointment as 27th February, 1925.
