History of Methodist International Church, Wan Chai

Anybody know its history? I could not find any thing from internet and the Church's homepage. Moreover, no e-mail response was received from this Church.

Thanks a lot.

Coroner's reports

Hello

I'm a new subscriber and would be grateful for some help. I'm looking for a coroners report from August 1858. The coroner was Mr May and it concerned the accidental death of a member of HM Medical Staff Corps.

Hong Kong 1861-62

Hi all
I'm writing a history/travel book, following a fairly obscure adventurer in 19C China, who visited HK briefly 1861-62.

2. Search these resources that may have information about the person

Which resources are useful depend on what you know about the person:

If you know their name ...

The Peak Directory

4. Use professional research

The only person I've heard of that researches families in Hong Kong is Ms Christine Thomas, based in the UK. Her website is http://www.researchhongkong.org.uk/

If you'd like to recommend a researcher, or you provide research services yourself, please leave a comment below with a link to your website.

Regards, David

PS I haven't used any of the service(s) listed here, so you'll need to satisfy yourself that they can do the research you need before any time / money is spent.

Hong Kong 1938/39

I came across the following url, with some great pre war pictures of Hong Kong.

  http://www.croiseur-lamotte-picquet.fr/index.php?page=hong

Well worth taking a look at and saving for posterity some of the photos.

3. Ask the internet for help

Try posting a message on the internet that say what you already know, and what you'd like to know. There's a good chance someone else is working to solve the same problem, and you'll be able to join forces. You'll get the best results if you post it on a website where the regular readers are also interested in old Hong Kong, family history, or both.

Gwulo.com

You've probably already done this, but if not here are the details.
