Bottles

Hello,

Looking for information about these two bottles.

I pressume the dairy farm glass bottle is for milk, but not the same shape as other known milk bottles.  Found on the peak.  Any ideas of what it was used for and / or date?

Robinson Road

I lived in a 5/5 floor row of 1930's Art Deco style flats in the 1980's opposite Park'nShop and I know theyve been bulldozed but does anyone please know anything about them. Many journalists and I John Crampton shared the great spacious homes. Robinson Road.

The problem of uploading photos

Dear Sir,

I don't know why I can't upload the photo when I try to reply to the comment.

Can you help me to see if there is any problem?

Best regards

Percy William Affleck Scott - 1872 to 1962

Percy William Affleck Scott was born in Edinburgh in 1872 to what appears to have been a fairly affluent family, and was educated at the Edinburgh Academy.  But by the 1890s he had emigrated to New Zealand and appears in a number of newspaper articles in the Marlborough area (as of 1896).

Senior Inspector Ronald John McEwen, Killed in Action November 5, 1967

Greetings to all.

I am the daughter of the abovementioned police officer and am on a quest to discover as much as I can about him, his life and his career. I believe there were artifacts of his stored in the Police Museum and newspaper coverage of his death.

I realise this is a long shot and I'm depending on the kindness of strangers, but I would be exceedingly grateful for any information or guidance on where to look.

Sincerely

Rona McEwen (Barbara Wanless - adoptive name))

Danish Vessel Clara Maersk Brings Vietnam Refugees to Hong Kong During Royals Visit May 4, 1975

I noticed the reader question about which public market Queen Elizabeth visited in Hong Kong in 1975.
It reminds me of another event that occurred during that visit.

Seeking British policeman in Hong Kong, late 1800s early 1900s

Hello

According to a family story, a great-grand uncle who was a policeman in Britain went to Hong Kong. His name was John Diamond, born Cornwall, 1860. I *think* he was still in the UK in 1893 but am not 100% sure.

The story is that he is buried in the Happy Valley Cemetery.

I've searched the "List of People" on this site, and there are no Diamonds there (or Dymond/Dimond) under police or otherwise.
