Wilfred Reed is the father of angie-r, on whose behalf I am posting some details of his life. Information about his brothers' role in the Battle for Hong Kong and his own role in safeguarding the female members of his family is given in the post on Robert Cyril Reed. Margaret Annie Bond, also mentioned on this site was great-aunt to the Reed brothers and Lucretia Murray, wife of Patrick, was their aunt. Amaro and Maria Reed were their parents. Willie Reed was an outstanding sportsman and played hockey for Middlesex.

Angela Niles has sent this photo of the grave of her great-aunt, Margaret Annie Bond for uploading with apologies for the indistinct quality. Margaret Bond was the aunt of Angela's father, Wilfred Reed and lived to a great age, having survived both world wars. She is buried in St. Michael's Cemetery.

Angela Niles has given me permission to upload some photographs of her family graves in St. Michael's Cemetery. This photo shows the grave of her father, Wilfred Reed and of her great aunt Lucretia Murray with her husband, Patrick Murray.

Unlike the Protestant cemetery, which has been so well researched and catalogued by both Patricia Lim and Christine M. Thomas, St Michael’s Catholic Cemetery still awaits similar documentation available online. Space is at a premium in St Michael’s and it is often difficult to pick one’s way between the graves in order to read the inscriptions.

A few years ago there was an enquiry about Charles Boreham, ancestor of Nigel. This partial photo shows the grave of various members of the Cordeiro family, to which Charles's wife, Maria belonged. The horizontal stone, added later, bears the inscription commemorating Charles, who died in 1921 at the age of 82 as the next photo will show.
