The view from the Peak early 70's Hong Kong (1)

Wan Chai reclamation finished, but no buildings there. The cross harbour tunnel entrance seems to be not finished, so I think the date is 1970.

On the extreme right is 22 Barker Road .

Once upon a time - Hong Kong - Sharp Street

Text on Flickr:

Another long gone tramway housing; the Sharp Street depot situated on hot property and sold to be turned into a mall. Later in time some wall anchors carrying the catenary were still in place as a sweet reminder. Coincidentally (or not) but during my first Hong Kong visit the hotel was right next to the depot entrance and I didn't dare to sleep before seeing the last tram of the day entering his bed.

Wanchai view

The long building at the eastern end of Southorn Playground was the War Memorial Recreational and Welfare Centre completed in 1950. Behind it was a basketball court with roof erected around 1952/53. (copied from moddsey's comment).

The date originally attributed to the image on flickr was 1949, with the additional information it was set to 1952.
