Mok Cheong Street, To Kwa Wan

I have a collection of photos taken during my childhood back in late 50s/early 60s outside a factory. I was told that was Waton's (Bottling Factory?) at Mok Cheong Street, To Kwa Wan near Sung Wong Toi & Kai Tak Airport.

Does anyone have relevant information or photos to share?

Much appreciated.

Info

This hotel was built in 1982 and was connected directly to Hong Kong Kai Tak airport via a long walkway which ran via the airport parking garage (upper & lower left photos). The Five Continents Restaurant (upper right photo) on the 14th floor had spectacular views of the airport and runway; it was reportedly a popular place for off-duty airline crews to dine. Adjacent to the restaurant was the Flying Machine Bar.

My only memory with Kai Tak

Hi guys. I am new to gwulo.com. Nice to meet you all and learn the history about Hong Kong from all of you.

I took the pictures below last year from Kai Tak Airport Photo Exhibition at Mikiki, San Po Kong. Before the Airport’s closure, I was still very little living in Sham Shui Po. Even though I had never been to the Airport, I was amazed by aeroplanes and engine noise flying over my head. The rest of my impression about Kai Tak is from TV dramas and movies.

Do you have special memories or nostalgia with Kai Tak?
