One of its first directors, Mr. Willem Kien, worked in China from 1898. After HCHC was founded in 1903, he worked for the company in Hong Kong and Shanghai. In 1921, he left China and worked for the head office in Rotterdam, at Diergaardelaan 36, until 1948, when the company was obtained by Internatio.

Commemorative flag made for the Wah Yan College HK boy scouts cross-country bicycle journey from Hong Kong to Chungshan / Zhongshan and Macao on December 1935.

The writings at the lower half are written by staff/pupils from the schools that the bicycle group have visited along the way. Transcribe (and translate wherever possible) from the top, left to right as below:

Found this together with a couple of old photos dated back to 1935, assuming they are related. No names and location labelled too, so hopefully I can get some help from here.

On December that year, the Scout troop organized a bicycle trip from Hong Kong all the way to Chungshan / Zhongshan and Macao following the route of KCR. A commemorative flag was made with signatures from participating scouts, framed and (amazingly) still surviving in the scout room to this day (https://gwulo.com/atom/38741)

Mid-1930s TST Signal hill

Very clear photo that shows details of houses along Chatham Road.

The house right of Signal Hill is the De Jongh Family Residence (2 buildings), followed by Lyton House which is hardly visible behind the new house at 17&19 Chatham Road. This building is much closer to Chatham Road compared to its predecessor Phillips House and also compared to the De Jongh houses.  On the very right hand side are Lyemun Flats.

On the left is the Peninsula Hotel, and right of the hotel should be another one - Rose Hotel.
