1937 View of a boat wreck in Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter after the typoon of 1937. Moreton Terrace and the original Bay View Mansions built around 1934 and the St. John Ambulance Headquarters built in 1935 up Tai Hang Road can be seen.

CBS PREFECTS 1934 Rev Upsdell, Mr Rowell. (The school "houses" in the mid-1950s were named Upsdell, Nightingale, Rowell.)

Miss Bascombe (senior mistress), and Head Prefects Peter Wilson and Helen Reiton are named, with Alvena Laihovetsky. front row left. Note that several of the boys died in the defence of HK 1941 and would appear on the school's Honour Roll. Some of the girls, including Alvena Laihovetsky. would have been evacuated to Australia in 1940.
