John was based in Hong Kong from 1949 to 52 and also 1953 to 55.  I suspect that these photogra[phs were taken during his first tour. I apologise for the poor definition as most of them were copied from a sheet containing several images.   (Andrew S)

Golden era of flying. Pan Am Flying Boat.  Think this is a Martin M-130 'China' Clipper coming in to berth alongside the pontoon at Kai Tak.

This cropped image shows what appears to be another local BOAC girl in the launch heading for the airport from a flying boat. It is not known if she was air crew or a ground hostess. Possibly a Batley girl.
