Text on Flickr:

This 1972 photo showing the [Gin Drinkers Bay] landfill site was still active, and with the TEXACO oil tank farm in full scale development.

The same area had faced drastic changes in the following 15 years.

The large building at the cemetery is the columbarium.

P.S. Probably the same source as this one.

Text on Flickr:

Upper photo (circa 1984) showing the HUD staff quarters was still under occupation although the dockyard was in its final years of function, largely as a container storage yard.

Lower photo showing the pre-war block of terraced houses where expatriate staff has just been vacated prior to demolition (1986).

Note: The upper part of the photo is much like this one by IDJ.

1946 Over Hunghom

Interesting view of Hung Hom. I believe that still some war damage can be seen, e.g. at Green Island Cement and probably also at the Ma Tau Kok Gasworks where the gas holder is visible only.

Kai Tak Airport in the distance. It also looks that Cable & Wireless Station, Hung Hom [1946-1970] hasn't been built yet.
