Similar to those in Tai O, the huts are raised above the shore a bit. During high tide the huts might be flooded. Those in Tai O are raised higher above the sea level, however.

Tung Chung Wooden Pier/Bridge at Ma Wan Chung Village [????- ]

Hi there,

From my observation the pier/bridge had once collasped, but villagers had laid on new planks. I wished I had took some photos more than 30 years ago when I was there in a school picnic.
