These sedan chairs appear to be exactly the same type shown in David's picture. I hope the passengers came up The Peak in the tram rather than being carried up from town. They are an Air France crew visiting after a flight from Hanoi.

The house now known as ‘Carrick’ at No. 23 Coombe Road (which falls on Rural Building Lot 731) was constructed in 1887. It was obviously designed as a private luxury house used for residential purpose. Its first owner was John Joseph Francis (1839-1901), or J.J. Francis, as he preferred to be known. J.J. Francis purchased the plot of land on No. 23 Coombe Road in March 1886. In the following year he had his house, which he called ‘Stonyhurst’, built on the site.

RBL 561 Marker Stone at #7 Peel Rise, Wing On Estate [????- ]

Hi there,

Spotted this last weekend while going up Peel Rise again.  The marker on the map is by best guess.  It is abit off the road and inside the perimeter fance, slightly down at the top of a shaved slope over a covered garage.  I used quite a few days poking into the GeoInfo Map and hit RBL 561 & Ext a few days ago.

Best Regards,
