Lung Fu Shan Country Park Morning Walkers' Association

This is a good group to know about if you're interested in the Lung Fu Shan / Mount Davis Area, including the Cheng Po Tsai path that runs along there.

As their name suggests they walk the hillsides, and are also interested in the history of the area. The founder is a Mr Chan. Most mornings at around 10am he's at the flat area next to Planting Site No. 1, having tea with his friends. You can also visit their website at;

Old HK Tram Prints

Hi im trying to get some prints. Some of the ones on this site are really lovely and I'd love to get large prints done for my dad. Preferably for christmas. Anyone know where I can get them from? I especially love the Des Voeux Rd pic with all the people queueing up in the rain. I noticed the shop link but there were only 3 tram prints there and I wasnt especially taken by them.

p125 of the book called "the history of university of hong kong" written by peter cunich

It mentioned that "the larger West End Park on Seymour road was suggested as an alternative site" of hku. But i am wonder if the west end park should be located at park road instead or there is two west end park at that time? Anyone has any idea?

The Elizabeth Ride Archive

This is a collection of material based on the life and work of Elizabeth's father, Sir Lindsay Ride. It will be of most interest to people researching wartime Hong Kong, 1942-5, as it includes detailed records of the activity of the British Army Aid Group, the BAAG.

Message from Elizabeth on 23rd August 2020:

I have today opened a website online at elizabethridearchive.com

Any good "old photo" shops in Singapore?

We're getting ready for short family holiday in Singapore.

Does anyone know of any good places there that sell old photos? Either shops, or flea-markets like Hong Kong's Cat Street? If there's a chance, I'll call in to see if they have any of Hong Kong.

Thanks & regards, David
