This segment of a larger circa 1940 map shows a development proposal for Tsim Sha Tsui which relocates the railway terminus, moves the Star Ferry piers to where Holt’s Wharf was, and moves cargo unloading around the corner. Earlier came across this on a website and saved this photo of Carnarvon Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, which I believe was taken around the 1930s. An interesting angle of the district, and surprised with how quiet the district was when the photo was taken. Have not done work to figure out which road is which yet. <Read more ...>
