Map performance improved

If you've ever tried the "... more places" link over on the left of the page, I bet you've only tried it once. It was just about unuseable.

I'm pleased to say that the recent round of work in the boiler room has made it a lot better. I've just posted up the finished version, so I'll be grateful if you'll try it out and let me know if it works ok: "... more places".

Rural Building Lot:

Searching sequential lot numbers at the Government Map show new lot numbers in the 500s were assigned to various RBL from earlier maps on the Peak and Island South.  I'm just starting my research:

Real Tennis

Does anyone know if there has ever been a real tennis court set up in Hong Kong ?

'Real tennis', I mean, as opposed to lawn tennis - you know, the sort that King Henry VIII played at Hampton Court, and still has quite a following today - a growing following in fact.

I know that there isn't a court at the moment, but wonder if anyone in the dim and distant past (probably pre-1997) managed to get a venue converted for a match, however temporarily.

Plans of Old Buildings
